Disclaimer of Guarantee:
Because all decisions about scholarship awards are made by the
individual colleges, CFS offers no guarantee as to the number of
scholarships for which a student may actually qualify. The listing of a
college in the report does not imply that the student meets the admission
criteria for that college. All data in the Merit Based Scholarship
database was provided by the individual colleges and, while utmost care is
taken to insure accuracy, CFS is not responsible for changes or
inaccuracies. Each college reserves the right to change at any time
their admissions and scholarship deadlines and criteria.
Important Notes About Your Merit Based Scholarship Report
·
Your report includes information on college funded scholarships. These
scholarships are non-transferable –you must attend the college to
receive the scholarship.
·
Most colleges have a policy that allows you to receive only one academic
scholarship from their college. If you qualify for more than one
scholarship, you will usually be allowed to accept the one with the
highest value.
·
Most colleges use a “weighted” GPA to calculate scholarship
eligibility, and that is what was used in this report. However, some
colleges use your “unweighted” GPA and every college has the right to
change their policy at any given time.
·
Both SAT and ACT scores are included for comparison purposes where
relevant. However, not all colleges accept both types of test
scores. Contact your colleges of interest to verify which type of
test scores they require for consideration of admissions and/or of
scholarships.
·
The scholarships included in your report are based strictly on academic
achievement, and not on financial “need.” Income and assets are
not considered.
·
Most of these colleges also offer other financial aid, such as
departmental merit scholarships, “need”-based grants, work study
and/or student and parent loans, in addition to the academic scholarships
included in this report. It is best to apply for all aid that is
available, and your total aid package will be coordinated by the college.
·
If you are interested in finding out more about a particular college or
scholarship, or if your preferred college is not included in your report, contact the college’s admissions office for more
information
